Shawna K. came to SER in July 2010.  She was laid off from her job and was receiving unemployment benefits.   She completed successfully a six week, Weatherization and HERS Rater, program at HCC. 

 After she finished the training in September 2010, she accepted an offer with her former employer Transtar POS as an Office Manager that began on 9/27/2010. Her salary increased from $12 to $14/hr due to her training and certifications.
