The Green Contractor course is aimed to train students in the theories and practices of being environmentally friendly within the building industry.  Many materials and resources are discarded or otherwise wasted in the construction industry whether it be during original construction, remodeling, or demolition.  The Green Contractor course teaches trainees to avoid these unwarranted waste streams through material selection, structural design, and reuse.  The course begins with the anatomy of homes and various construction techniques, recovery of materials, repair of materials or building components, material handling and transportation, green product installation, and business operations such as bidding, marketing, and starting a small business.
