Course Description

The Flagging course it aimed to teach students to control traffic flow and minimize hazards on jobsites near vehicular roadways.  Areas of topic to be covered include safety and legal, rules and regulations, flagging procedures, workzone hazards, injuries on the site, and fatalities.  The standards taught through this course will provide future flaggers with the ability to maintain safe passage of traffic through or around work zones with minimal risk of injury.  Through classroom tutorials and hand-on exercises the students will leave the class with the knowledge required to maintain standard flagging procedures, use the required equipment, advanced flagging skills and gestures.
